This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior executive seat at a Magnet-designated hospital within one of the nation's leading health systems — and leave a lasting imprint on how great nursing care gets delivered. You'll set the vision and the tone for nursing practice across the entire hospital as well as:
Lead and sustain Magnet designation, upholding ANCC standards across all nursing settings.
Partner with medical, executive, and governing leaders on strategy, quality, and patient safety.
Drive EMR optimization with EPIC to reduce documentation burden and improve clinical workflows.
Champion a culture of LEAN-driven performance improvement and evidence-based practice.
Oversee nursing standards, staffing, resource allocation, and financial stewardship.
Build and sustain a patient experience that is truly relationship-centered.
Who you are:
A licensed RN in NYS with a Master's degree in Nursing (Doctorate a plus)
A seasoned leader with at least 8 years in director-level or above nursing leadership, at least 10 years of nursing experience
Thrives in complex, academic medical environments and brings out the best in teams
Can lead the strategic optimization EPIC EMR —excited about what it can do when maximized to its full potential to improve patient care efficiency, reduce nursing documentation time, improve nursing experience and ensure compliance.
Experience with collective bargaining process and agreements, handling of grievances, and maintaining collaborative labor-management relations.
ANCC certified in Nursing Administration, Advanced (preferred)
Culturally humble, collaborative, and energized by working across disciplines.
Participates with leaders from the community advisory board and with clinical management.
