The ideal candidate will focus on the development and growth of both undergraduate and graduate nursing programs with an emphasis on the recruitment of highly qualified students and faculty.
The HSON is one of four schools at TTUHSC El Paso, which includes the Foster School of Medicine, the Hunt School of Dental Medicine, and the Francis Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. The institution has four Centers of Emphasis (COE) that specialize in cancer, diabetes and metabolism, infectious diseases, and neuroscience. The Training and Education Center for Healthcare Simulation (TECHS) is a state-of-the-art accredited facility featuring multi-bed fundamentals labs, immersive manikin-based simulation suites, and dedicated exam rooms for standardized patient encounters and virtual reality training. The school’s CCNE-accredited academic programs include a 16-month Accelerated B.S.N. program, and an R.N. to B.S.N. program delivered in a hybrid setting of online, classroom, and clinical experiences. The M.S.N. in Leadership is the school’s first graduate program, with plans underway to offer a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in 2027.
